My name is Billy Lane and I am the owner of Billy Lane Photography. If you have visited my website before you will notice a new look. Please don't let this scare you because I am the same business with the same low prices.
A little bit about me, and why you would want me as your wedding or event photographer. I have been a photographer for over 13 years. I am a police detective by trade and for the first 8.5 years of my police career, I was an officer and a forensic photographer. For the last 6 years, I have owned and ran my own photography business in addition to being a police detective. I have over 13 years of experience as a professional photographer. In addition to being a forensic photographer, I am also a forensic Photoshop reconstructionist. I have been trained to use Photoshop to reconstruct photos of the deceased, and I am able to digressively and progressively age people to show how them might have looked when they were younger or how they might look today after they have aged.
In this business it is not about the years of experience you have, but the number of events you take pictures at each year. Not only do I have 14 years experience but I also do on average, 50 to 60 weddings and events a year, plus other events thought out the year. These events produce approx. 50,000 - 60,000 pictures a year. My photographs have appeared in such national magazines as Marie Clair. Billy Lane Photography is a self-made business. I started like most businesses did, just my old Canon 20D and me. Now I have grown and I am proud to say that my prices are still the same as when I started over 6 years ago.
I also work with my partner, Nicole Sandburg Griffin who has proven herself to be a natural, accomplished, photographer and Photoshop editor. Nicole has worked by my side for over 4 years now and is responsible for handling the day to day operations of the business via email, editing pictures and photographing weddings both with me and independently when we have double bookings. She is also available to cover for me as the primary photographer in the event that my career calls me away. Nicole shoots with the same equipment as I do and has a very similar style to mine, but also has an acute eye for the details.
